GOLDEN TIDES II is a 45-unit senior apartment complex which provides affordable housing to senior residents of Kitsap County who make less than $14,000 per year with fifteen units set aside for seniors who make less than $8,000 per year. The first floor is devoted to rooms for common activities and includes a library/TV room, a formal living room with a fireplace, a tea room with a fireplace, a large warming kitchen and a dining room that seats 80. The common rooms, particularly the dining room and the activity areas, will be available for use by the entire Housing Authority senior community. The second and third floors contain reading rooms overlooking the Carl Linder playfields, including one room with a computer and a large print CD ROM drive. We are proud to have received the 1997 Agency Award of Excellence for Project Design from the National Association of Housing Redevelopment Officials.
